Bought a Condo and more Baby Pictures!

Today Alexandria is one month old already...  holy cow!  Time does fly.
Aaron and I bought a Condo on Friday, so now I need to get our place ready to move and take care of a newborn!

It's a GIRL!!!!

On November 2nd, I had my 37 week prenatal appointment.  An ultrasound found very low amniotic fluid and the baby had not increased in weight since our 35 week appointment.  These factors were warning bells to the doctors,  so they said -- You are going to have a baby today.

They let us go home and get our birthing bag.  We both called into work and said, we are at the hospital being induced.

Everything is Perfect - Let's Induce.

This week I had my 36 week checking with the Doctor. 
She said:
Your blood sugars are great and under control by just your diet and exercise!Your blood pressure perfect.  Baby still measures in the 45 percentile.Baby's heart is perfect, the flow in the cord and placenta are great.
Then a totall 180'
We should not let you go past 39 weeks and induce you.

I got skid-marks on my brain.   Say what?

Today's Home Inspection

Today I was present while Jim Duggan, Senior Inspector for RIA Solutions, inspected the Condo we intend to purchase with a fine tooth comb.

He was very pleasant and let me know what he was looking for while he was checking things out.  He found minor issues, but nothing that would prevent us from moving forward with our purchase.  I am not sure if Aaron would want the Seller to fix any of these

OFFER ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!

The Seller agreed to our price AND to cover the closing costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  
 OMG! OMG! OMG!  We got a home!
We'll be riding double with our Apartment  until the lease is expired, but we really don't care and can afford to do it for a bit.

Made an offer for our first home purchase.

Aaron and I put an offer in for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo yesterday.

It was listed at 84,500 and we offered 80,000 plus asked the seller to pick up closing costs.  We also included a $2000 Earnest Money deposit to express we are sincerely interested.

Hopefully we will have an answer back later today if our offer is accepted or countered.

Baby has a COUSIN on the way!

This morning Aaron's middle brother, Michael and his wife, Amy annouced that they are 12 weeks along with their first baby!!!!!!!!

I am so happy for them because I know they had been trying for some time!!

There are less than 8 weeks before my due date and I thought by now I would FINALLY have the perfectly round buddah belly... but I don't.  My old ROLLS are still on my belly! :-( 

But as a bonus, I have not had any issue with strech marks because my skin can handle this size.

Baby and I are okay after a scary weekend

On Sunday I fell.

Aaron and I were walking across a parking lot to our car, and my shoe slipped.  I tried to catch my balance, but I knew I was doomed to have let gravity have its way.

I started to fall face first to the asphalt.  Instinctively, I turned so my right side would impact before baby.
I tore up my right hand pretty good, right wrist sprained, right shoulder bruised and bloody, right

Last Trimester!

My due date is less than 12 weeks away now.  Soon we will get to meet this brand new person Aaron and I created together!

In two weeks we'll fly back to Wisconsin for the shower.  I am pretty sure that the flight will be fine.  I am SO GLAD Aaron will be with to help support me.  

I meet with my doctors again next week on Wednesday and Friday, so I can get the green light to take to the skies!

I Have Gestational Diabetes

On Monday I got that call that my test came back positive for Gestational Diabetes.

On Wednesday I was in a half-day class learning about Diabetes and how to eat to control my blood sugar and help the baby too.

I want to stress that baby and I are doing FINE, but I do have to check my Blood Sugar 4 times a day and test for Ketones in the morning.

My blood sugar was high on my Gestational Diabetes screening test, so now I have to take the full blown glucose tolerance test.

Waddling to Wisconsin

My mom and my sister have twisted my arm into flying back to Wisconsin for a baby shower.

Sept. 17th, so save the date!!!  (30 weeks pregnant, 7 months along)

We were going to fly into Madison, but Milwaukee flights were about 100 less per person!  We were able to add a rental car and a hotel in Milwaukee for less than two tickets to Madison!  Geez!

Last Monday I got a call saying my blood test came back with a 1 in 266 chance of Spina Bifida and a 1 in133 for other open neural tube defects.

I was very upset by the news and had to take the day off of work because I became a crying mess.  I think I would have been okay if the doctor didn't say: "We can do additional testings and see if you want to continue the pregnancy."

Wisconsin Wedding this Weekend!

Aaron and I are in his brother's wedding this weekend!

We are flying NON-STOP direct from Atlanta, GA to Madison, WI. 

We arrive Friday night about 8:15 PM CDT then get our rental car and check into the hotel.

The Wedding is at 2 PM on Saturday. 
I hope I can spend time with my mom and sisters Saturday morning beforehand!!!

13 week, 2 day ultrasound images.

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant.  The pictures are from the screening test we had on Friday. 

Everything came back looking super healthy and awesome!

We heard the heart beat and it is so crazy to see the new person GROWING in me.
It was so thrilling and scary at the same time!

In a few more weeks I will be able to feel the baby move!!!

Second trimester - here we come!

I am 12 weeks and 2 days pregnant today.  I have 194 days to go before my due date!

Aaron and I will have our next prenatal appointment in a week.   Hopefully I will get a picture of the baby again!  

We want to have the gender be a suprise, so I hope the baby and the tech are able to keep their mouths or legs shut!!!

Love at first sight!

Last Friday I had a Confirmation of Pregnancy appointment at my OB/GYN.
Here are the pictures of my sonogram.  They are nothing like the image on the HDTV they had on the wall.
The Tech had our baby on the screen clear as day and we could see the baby's heart beating away!
I was awestruck.  There was our baby!!!

I got the Clearblue Easy Digital Ovulation Test but never got a smiley face. 

Rather than think the product is a piece of junk, I worry that my body just wasn't ovulating.  

I have my period every 28 days, so I am the text book example of menstration -- Linked to the Moon's cycles.  Full Moon = Period   New Moon = Ovulation
